By FISTF initiative, a new community of players was established in Greece in November 2008. The “Hellenic Union of Table Soccer”, as it is the name of the newly formed community, has the full support of FISTF BoD and a provisional affiliation to FISTF until June 2009. The Union is not yet an official club or association, but efforts will be made by its members to acquire official statuses and state recognition in the following months.
All Greek Table Soccer players and clubs are invited to join the Union, thus strengthening it and giving it the potential to grow up as one healthy community of table Soccer in Greece. Fair play, fun and competitiveness will be the three main targets of the Union. Experienced top-level players, as well as amateurs will have the chance to enjoy table Soccer in a way that will not give any advantages to any of these two categories over the other.
